Hi all and welcome to my adoption journey page and the story leading up to my decision to adopt...
I spent years trying to conceive...
After several different doctor opinions, countless lab draws, 2 fallopian tube flushes, numerous medications, ultrasounds, 6 intrauterine inseminations, 2 rounds of IVF with hundreds of injections; resulting in the loss of 4 babies, and 1 exploratory laparotomy later…
The only thing doctors could tell me was that I have unknown infertility...
It's probably the most frustrating diagnosis (in my opinion it isn’t even a diagnosis, it’s a default category that doctors put you in when they run out of tests and don’t know what else to tell you). After going through all of this, I still wanted a family and so I decided to turn to adoption...
In the midst of this, I found myself constantly surrounded by my friends, coworkers, and family members all announcing they were pregnant or having a baby. This became so difficult for me to try and be constantly happy for everyone else while at the same time feeling my heart break over and over after countless times of putting it back together…
The next pregnancy announcement would just shatter it all over again.
So, I made the decision to pick up my life and start fresh… hence the move to Vegas...
Now being settled out here, I have great friends, a great job, a great home, and overall a wonderful life. I feel that I’m ready to expand my world by including a child of my own.
I’ve made the decision to adopt a baby...
On Thanksgiving day I was given the greatest thing to be thankful for...
I was accepted into an adoption firm!
I couldn’t have been more excited to start this new journey. It will be a very exciting, scary, amazing, and nerve wrecking experience that I am absolutely looking forward to. It's truly going to be my greatest dream come true. I will need any and all support to get through this...
Adoption is very expensive and something that I will need financial help with. I have created a couple ways to fundraise to help me get to my dream of holding the baby that was meant to make me a mother. I've created a GoFundMe page. I also made a puzzle that will allow people to be able to buy as many pieces as they want (see the "Forever Puzzle" story)...
My Crossfit gym in Vegas will also help to raise funds...
I would love nothing more than for all of you to share this website with as many of your friends and extended family to help raise awareness of my story and to donate if at all possible...
Please know I love each and every one of you and I'm so thankful for you being apart of my journey. ❤
Thanks for reading all this!
Much love always,
Kelly

We couldn't have asked for a better primary nurse during our stay in the NICU. Kelly was so attentive to everything Asher (our son) needed and treated as if he were her own when we had to leave the hospital...
